The patch 185872 reference includes 56 civilizations. The unique-unit template distinguishes the base and elite versions listed in the technology tree. Stats are base values: your ranking can also consider upgrades, synergies, map and ease of use.

Can I make an AoE2 civilization and unit tier list?
Yes. The editor includes all 56 civilizations in the game reference and a unique-unit template. Search for entries, inspect their cards and arrange them in customizable tier rows.
Is the tier maker free, and do I need an account?
It is free, and you can create, download and share a tier list without an account. Your draft is saved in your browser; a shared link keeps a snapshot of the list at the time you share it.
Do unit stats include Blacksmith upgrades and civilization bonuses?
Unit cards show base values from the game reference. They do not simulate every upgrade, unique technology or civilization bonus. Consider those changes when deciding your ranking.
Can I use my tier list on YouTube, Twitch or social media?
You can export an image and use presentation mode to show your ranking in a video or stream. Sharing the link lets your audience inspect the list and make their own version.
What happens when a new AoE2 patch is released?
The editor uses the same updated game reference as our civilizations page and displays its data patch. Shared links retain their original catalog and patch so older rankings keep their context.
Is there an official ranking of the best civilizations?
This editor is for your own assessment. A civilization can perform differently on Arabia, Arena, water maps or in team games. Include the map, game mode and your criteria to make your tier list useful.
